During the expedition (90 mins. each) pupils come in direct contact with some zoo animals or take care of small tasks that are normally only carried out by the animal caretakers.
By working directly nearby the animals the pupils learn exciting things about the animals and nature in general – also beyond the zoo. At the same time the acquisition of crucial personal and social competences is promoted. The action-based, inquisitive and exploratory leaning is always of primary importance.

The costs sum up to € 600,- (flat rate for up to 10 pupils, every additional one € 60,-; excluding the zoo entrance fee) or € 500,- for pupils of schools in Heidelberg (flat rate for up to 10 pupils; every additional one € 50,-). We recommend the acquisition of an annual ticket for the zoo entrance (you can find information on the annual tickets here).

An extension of the desired time period is of course available upon request.

The starting point of “Expedition Nature” and the week day can be agreed upon consultation.
