In small groups (about 15 pupils) pupils work in a playful and action-oriented way on special topics that also cover aspects of the school curriculum. Can learning be more fun than that?

All sessions cover biological diversity and contribute to the education for sustainable development.

Interested teachers can choose from a variety of different program sessions (please see table below):

By splitting up the groups even more options present themselves: one half of the class could for example dedicate its time to the Great Apes, the other half could observe the predators. At the end of Zoo-Class the pupils can share information and build on each other´s findings.

Zoo-Class can be booked all year long. All programs focus on learning in a playful, experience -and action-oriented way. That is why we think “Zoo Pupils” remember what they learned better and longer compared to biology class in school.

The teaching in the zoo as an extracurricular learning place is not only fun, but is also particularly effective and sustainable – that has even been proven in the framework of a recent scientific study on the topic.

Costs:	per class: € 50,- up to 15 pupils, each additional one € 2,50 (zoo entrance on top), 3 hours: € 100,- up to 15 pupils, each additional one € 5 (zoo entrance on top)

ZYou are welcome to use our “Zoovertrag” (Zoo Treaty) in preparation of your zoo visit in class. It is available as a download. You can find additional material for pre -and post-preparation on the page of the corresponding program session.

Supervisory Duties
For the Zoo-Class your class/group is split up - in the case of 16 pupils/children or above. Please take into consideration that in this case your class (per split up group) has to bring along an accompanying person.
